bladder infection treatmentHi Rachael here, welcome to my webpage investigating different bladder infection treatment products.

You know the problem – the urgent need to pee but it hurts like crazy when you do – ugh!

But what is the best way of getting rid of the infection, preferably for good, without having to drink gallons of cranberry juice?

Well you basically have three options:

1. visit your doctor who will most likely prescribe an antibiotic

2. try a range of “home remedies” until you find one that works for you

3. or stick with an all natural solution from a reputable health care company.

The Problem With Drugs

Antibiotics will work but rarely solve the problem in the long term because they simply mask your symptoms. Home remedies can be great but do you have enough time on your hands to investigate each different option before you find one that works?

During my research into different bladder infection treatments I wasn’t surprised to discover that more and more sufferers are opting for natural solutions to avoid filling their bodies with chemicals.

What Do Customers Say?

Although claims on many websites are misleading (nothing works 100% of the time!) I found that Linda Harrison’s “Cure Your UTI Fast” was getting rave reviews from customers. Here are just a few of their comments

“I had a UTI. I tried your remedy and it worked. It’s that simple”

“I have spent so much time and so much money trying to cure my urinary tract infections and I was starting to think it was impossible”

“It is simple to use and I am really pleased with the results so far”

Bladder Infection Treatment Facts

The reason that Linda’s program gets so many glowing tributes is because it is comprehensive and easy to use. When you are trying to cure common ailments such as urinary tract infections there are a number of different non-drug remedies you can turn to.

However, if you want to get rid of your bladder infection you need to stick to a defined strategy – it’s no good jumping from one thing to the other – and that is one of the things that makes Linda’s program such a success. It includes a step by step holistic bladder infection treatment program that leaves leads you by the hand.

It is not simply a bunch of rehashed garbage or instructions about how much cranberry juice you should drink to combat the problem. Instead it does what all good treatment programs should do – it reveals what the problem is and how you must treat the condition at its root cause if you want to finally eliminate UTI’s from your life.

As Linda explains, the problem with most prescribed drugs is they generally only get rid of the symptoms rather than addressing the root cause of your illness.

In most cases, UTI’s are the result of a disruption in the delicate balance of bacteria in your body. When you take drugs they may get rid of the symptoms temporarily but at the same time kill off the good bacteria in your system leaving you prone to even more ill health!

If you are fed up with persistent UTI’s then don’t waste any more time and check out what Linda has to say about effective bladder infection treatment.

Bladder infections are usually caused by certain types of bacteria multiplying too rapidly or other bacteria that have been accidentally spread from elsewhere.

In normal circumstances, the bladder has a thin mucus layer that forms a barrier between the bladder and urine, which prevents bacteria sticking to the bladder surface. And any invading bacteria are killed by white blood cells. However, if this balance is disrupted then an infection will occur.

You might be surprised to learn that the most common cause of bladder infections is the result of bacteria being spread from the rectal area into the urethra. It is estimated that around 80% of bladder infections are caused this way and triggered by the Escherichia coli (or E.coli) bacteria.

Other bacteria that can result in the need for bladder infection treatment include Saprophyticus which is usually spread by sexual activity particularly in women. If you use barrier methods of birth control then these can destroy the Lactobacill in the vagina thus allowing Saprophyticus and other “bad” bacteria to take hold and because of the relatively short female urethra it is easy for bacteria to spread from the vagina to bladder.

The other common bladder infection cause that you should be aware of is the problem that the bacteria known as candida can have on your urinary tract.

Candida actually performs a very important job in your body, recognizing and destroying other harmful bacteria. In a normally healthy person the number of candida bacteria is tightly regulated – by a properly-functioning immune system and “friendly” bacteria – however should the immune system fail or the number of friendly bacteria decline then candida will multiply.

When this happens the candida actually changes its nature and rather than working with the body its starts to have a negative impact. In its normal yeast state candida is a non-invasive organism but when it becomes fungal it becomes invasive, growing long “roots” that penetrate the intestinal walls. This leads to toxins entering the bloodstream and weakens your immune system further.

As a result of a weakened immune system it is easier for pathogenic bacteria to multiply in your bladder and before long you can end up with a bladder infection or urinary tract infection.

As you can bladder infection causes are predominantly the result of a disturbance in the bacterial balance in the bladder itself which can be a consequence of candida overgrowth, E Coli or the result of certain types of contraception.

When it comes to treatment for bladder infections then there are a number of different options available to you.

The conventional type of treatment relies heavily on a combination of antibiotics to treat the infection and painkillers or anti-inflammatories to relive associated pain and discomfort. Whilst this form of treatment can be successful in the short term it can also make the situation worse in the longer term. The problem is that an overuse of antibiotics actually weakens your immune system because the drug kills of a lot of the “good” bacteria present in your body.

As a result the long term treatment of bladder infections with antibiotics can increase the risk that you develop a yeast infection. If you then take antibiotics to treat the yeast infection then the vicious circle continues. Luckily there are plenty of yeast infection treatment that do not use prescription drugs.

Natural and home remedies for bladder infections avoid the potential side effects associated with over the counter drugs and antibiotics. Over the centuries a number of effective herbal and homeopathic UTI infections treatment remedies have been discovered  that have the benefit of address the symptoms of the infection as well as the underlying causes, giving you a better chance of achieving a longer-lasting solution.

Popular natural bladder infection treatments include a combination of the herbs Buchu, Lemon Balm, St John’s Wort and Billberry which have antibacterial properties, strengtehn your immune system and create a benign environment in the urinary tract that is not supportive of bacteria.

Other bladder infection cures include drinking plenty of cranberry juice and water. Cranberry juice is thought to be particularly effective in eliminating the troublesome bacteria in your system whilst drinking plenty of water helps to flush out toxins. Women should also take care when it comes to the use of scented feminine washes and sprays.

Bladder infection treatment includes a whole range of natural and conventional treatments that are effective in treating the symptoms of this common ailment.

In medical circles a bladder infection is known as cystitis although you may be more familiar with the term urinary tract infection or UTI for short. There are basically two types of bladder infections: lower tract and upper tract infections.

1. Lower Tract – infections found in the lower tract affect the urethra and/or the bladder. The urethra is the tube that carries urine from your bladder to the outside and this type of infection is referred to as urethritis, whereas infections confined to the bladder are called cystitis.

2. Upper Tract – infections of the upper urinary tract involve the kidneys and generally occur when bacteria enter your kidneys from either the bloodstream or having travelled up from the bladder itself. Infections of the kidneys are a much more serious medical condition than cystitis.

UTI symptoms vary according to age, sex, and location of the infection in the tract. The most usual sign that a bladder infection is present and a symptom experienced by most patients is a frequent need to urinate. However, UTI’s make it painful to pee and often the urine will be cloudy and have an unpleasant odor. This is called Dysuria.

Women may also complain of discomfort in the lower abdomen accompained by a bloated feeling, as if the bladder is full, and in some cases will experience a vaginal discharge.

Bladder infections in men are more common than people think. Although men with a UTI or cystitis, like women, will experience Dysuria other symptoms can include testicular, penile, rectal, or abdominal pain. And if the UTI is accompanied by an STD then they may well be a pus like discharge from the penis.
